Using Dynamic Lists to create Static Lists

  • Create a Workflow
  • Use a Dynamic List
  • Filter by the First Letter of the First Name
  • Repeat for A-Z to create 26 Static Lists which are updated via each Workflow

List Filters

  • Message Sent Status is only set for members who have received an SMS via Sakari

  • Marketing Contact Status Source Name is one of

    • User Set
    • Initial State
    • Contact Import

  • Marketing Contact Status Source Type is either:

    • A user who set up the contact manually
    • An import file used to create the contact programmatically

Marketing Contact Status

Marketing Contact Status is either:

  • Marketing contact (can be contacted in bulk messages)
  • Non-marketing contact (can only be contacted via individual messages)

has never been any of

  • has never been any of is a generic filter which can be used to filter members who have never had:
    • a marketing status of Marketing contact
    • a marketing contact status source name of User Set
    • a message sent status of a-z

To set the marketing contact status in bulk, create a workflow and do the following:

  • create a filter
  • generate a list
  • add an action
  • add an action
  • select the Set marketing contact status action
  • click the Value dropdown menu
  • select the value, either marketing or non-marketing
  • click save
