Charger & Charging SDC Project Description

High Level Project Objective

To design the charging and charging safety system for the electric vehicle.

Purpose of the Project

The accumulator needs to be removed to charge and monitored continuously, the charger and charging shutdown circuit are critical to safe pack charging.

Deliverables

  • High level system block diagram of accumulator, charger, charging cart, IMD, BMS, AIRs, low voltage supply power.
  • Detailed instructions & flow chart for charging operation (including how the IMD and BMS will be powered, how AIRs will be engaged..)
  • Documentation on what signals will be sent from IMD, BMS, AIRs in charging and fault conditions
  • BOM for charger and peripheral components
  • BOM and schematic for charging shutdown circuit
  • PCB (if required) for charging shutdown circuit (2 layers, 100mmx100mm)
  • BOM and description of charging cart
