Race Videos

Attach videos to a saved swim result so authorized family and swimmer accounts can watch them.

Add a video as the parent

1. Select the swimmer and open a saved result in Results.
2. Choose Race videos.
3. Choose Record video or Choose video.
4. Allow camera, microphone or photo-library access when needed.
5. Keep the app and upload screen open until the upload finishes.

The iPhone app prepares videos as MP4 and may compress them. The current maximum is 50 MB after preparation. If a clip is still too large, trim it or use a shorter clip. Existing originals in your photo library are unchanged.

After success, the app says Video added. Your family can watch it now.

Watch a video

Open Race videos for the saved race. Family Portal also has a Race videos button on finished race cards. The expanded parent progress graph offers Videos for its selected swim.

Use the player's controls to play or pause. Choose ¼×, ½× or 1× under Playback speed.

If playback stops or the link expires, choose Reload video to obtain a fresh playback link.

Who can access it?

Videos are private to accounts authorized to access that swimmer. Receiving a TestFlight installation link does not grant family access.

The parent can upload and remove videos. Family viewers and kid accounts can watch permitted videos; they cannot upload or remove them. Family and kid-device playback still need confirmation in the current beta; report a missing button or playback error.

The kid interface may not expose the button on every race screen yet. If you cannot find it, tell the parent which screen and app version you are using.

Interrupted upload

Keep the same upload screen open and choose Retry upload. The app can resume the current upload while its session remains open. Closing or restarting the app can lose that retry session.

Choose Discard upload to abandon an unfinished upload. Do not start another clip until you finish or discard the current one.

Remove a video

As the parent, open the race's videos, choose Remove video, and confirm. This removes the shared copy, not an original in your photo library. Copies already downloaded or received by someone else may remain with them.

Remove attached race videos before deleting the saved result, or deleting a meet together with its times.
