Progress and Goals
Use progress graphs to explore race history and compare times with saved goals.
Parents open Progress. Swimmers and family members open My progress inside the swim bubble.
Choose an event and course
Select the event, then choose its course.
| Course | Pool type |
|---|---|
| SCY | Short-course yards |
| SCM | Short-course meters |
| LCM | Long-course meters |
Each course has its own history and goals. Times from different courses are not combined.
Read the graph
- Swim dates run from oldest to newest along the bottom.
- Race times appear on the side.
- Slower times are higher on the graph.
- Faster times are lower on the graph.
- Dropping time moves the line downward.
- Filled points represent official swims.
- Outlined points represent unofficial swims.
- Dashed lines represent saved goals and time standards.
Goal names and target times appear in the legend beneath the chart.
Swims are spaced in chronological order. The distance between points does not represent the exact number of days between races.
Separate swims on the same day have separate points.
View race details
Tap a point to see:
- Race time
- Date
- Meet name, or recorded place when available
- Change from the previous swim for that event and course
A time drop appears green. Added time appears red.
The first recorded swim has no previous time to compare with.

Set a goal
Parents manage goals.
- Select the swimmer.
- Open Goals.
- Choose Set goal.
- Select the event and course.
- Enter a personal target.
- Add B, BB, A, or AA time standards if desired.
- Save.
Enter times as seconds, such as 39.35, or minutes and seconds, such as 1:28.54.
Check time standards
The parent enters the standards to track.
Before saving them, verify the correct event, course, age group, and applicable published standards.
The app does not automatically determine which standards apply.
Edit a goal
Open Goals, find the event and course, and choose Edit.
Update the target times and save.
Only goals matching the graph's selected event and course appear.
When there are few swims
- With no swims, saved goal lines can still appear.
- With one swim, the graph shows one point.
- With more swims, the graph connects the points in chronological order.
Viewing the graph does not change any saved race times.
