The Product Vision Board is a canvas, derived from the Business Model Canvas, that captures the initial ideas and assumptions for a new product. It describes, visualizes and validates the product vision and the product strategy.
Furthermore, it shows:
- who should use and buy the product (target group),
- why the customer group should use the product (needs),
- what features and functions differentiate the product from others (product),
- what desired business benefits (business goals) the product delivers.
The purpose is not to describe the users, the product and the business model comprehensively or in detail, but to focus on the corresponding assumptions. [1]
