After the Oasis Ethereum mainnet launch, the blockchain unlocks 525,000 OETHs every 30 days (defined as an epoch). It is always 525,000 OETHs in the first 20 epochs. The release for each epoch is cut to 1/2 every 20 epochs. 70% of all unlocked OETHs will be awarded to node operators running the Oasis Ethereum paratime.

Q: How exactly is OETH distributed?

A: From genesis on March 5th 1 pm UTC+8 to April 4th 1 pm UTC+8, exactly 30 days, is the first epoch. A snapshot will be taken at 1 pm UTC+8 every day 3 days after the genesis，because 3 days are given to allow the validators to get fully prepared. The OETH rewards will be distributed based on the average number of ROSEs staked on the Oasis nodes during the 30 days.

Q: How many OETH the validators can get per staked ROSE?

A: Depends on your staked ROSE account for what percentage of ROSE staked by all Oasis Ethereum mainnet validators. For example, if the total staked ROSE amount by all eligible validators is 100k, and you have staked 50k of them, you get half of the 525k *70% OETH unlocked by the blockchain for the 1st epoch, that is 183,750 OETH.

Q: Will I get OETH reward as a delegator?

A: You never get OETH if you do not run validator nodes. However, if the Oasis Validator you stake to decide you distribute the OETH they earned to their delegators, you will be able to get OETH.
