Endgame / “Victory”

This milestone represents the culmination of your goals, whether that’s a fully terraformed Mars, a massive population, completion of mysteries, or some personal definition of success.

Tasks

  1. Set a Clear Victory Condition

    • Purpose: Decide what “winning” means (e.g., fully terraformed planet, 1,000+ colonists, finishing all story mysteries).
    • Requirements: A personal or group decision. Could be official game achievements or custom targets you set.
    • Contribution: Gives you a final goal to push toward, providing a sense of closure to the campaign.

  2. Complete Final Research

    • Purpose: Unlock the last tiers of tech and breakthroughs.
    • Requirements: High research capacity, possibly late-game anomalies for unique tech.
    • Contribution: Lets you experience everything the tech tree has to offer, removing major limitations on your colony.

  3. Resolve All Mysteries

    • Purpose: Surviving Mars has unique storylines (“mysteries”) that test your colony in different ways.
    • Requirements: Trigger or progress each mystery, solve the challenges they present.
    • Contribution: Provides narrative depth and a final sense of accomplishment once completed.

  4. Achieve Sustainable Self-Governance

    • Purpose: Ensure the colony can run indefinitely, with minimal Earth support or none at all.
    • Requirements: Enough resource production, stable population, no critical bottlenecks (like fuel, food, or maintenance).
    • Contribution: Marks the moment your colony truly stands on its own.

  5. Document the Colony’s Legacy

    • Purpose: Capture final stats, reflect on the journey, and celebrate major highlights.
    • Requirements: Taking screenshots, recording colony metrics, sharing your epic achievements if desired.
    • Contribution: Preserves the story of your successful Martian settlement, capping off the entire project.

How This Milestone Contributes to the Overall Project
