Overview

Founded by husband and wife team Drew Huffine and Emily Virgil in 2012 with 1 ton of Chardonnay from Manchester Ridge vineyard.

Winemaking Philosophy

Source fruit from small, responsibly farmed vineyards from Mendocino to Santa Ynez. Traditional winemaking produces high acid, low alcohol wines. Minimal intervention cellar techniques: indigenous yeast fermentations, minimal handling, little or no new oak.

Focus

Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Santa Cruz Mountains and Mendocino Ridge made in classic, old world style. Also experiments with esoteric varietals such as Zweigelt and Blaufrankisch.

Winemaker Background

Drew Huffine is currently winemaker for LIOCO Wines in Sonoma. Previous experience at Copain, DuMOL, Kosta Brown, and Tuck Beckstoffer.
