1896: Original Picchetti winery bonded (BW 148). Vincenso and Secondo Picchetti purchased 160 acres and began farming Zinfandel, Carignane and Petite Sirah.
1904: Vincenso died, succeeded by sons Antone and John. Ranch expanded to peak of 500 acres.
Prohibition: Forced to sell acreage, vineyards replanted as fruit orchards.
Late 1950s: Ranch became unprofitable.
1963: Commercial wine production stopped.
1977: Ranch sold to Mid-Peninsula Open Space District.
1982-1998: Leased to Sunrise Winery.
1998: Leslie Pantling took over lease, renamed back to Picchetti Winery. Operates under lease from Midpeninsula Regional Open Space.
