2000: Sisters Lindsey and Shelby Pelio purchased land where they made family memories.
2003: Vineyard planted in shale from decomposed ancient seabed, 6 miles from Pacific Ocean. Initial planting by late winemaker Peter Figge.
2016: Pelio Estate Wines brand founded.
2023: Tasting room opened in Carmel Valley Village (May, Mother's Day weekend).
14 acres of sustainably and organically farmed grapes on 100+ acre property. Soil from decomposed ancient seabed shale.
Currently: Greg and Chris Vita
Originally planted and consulted by late winemaker Peter Figge.
All estate-grown from family vineyard:
