History
2007: Cindy Cosco, former police officer, launched Passaggio Wines in Sonoma with 50 cases of unoaked Chardonnay.
2021: Consolidated business and moved winery and tasting room to Treasure Island Wines facility in San Francisco due to pandemic effects (effective January 1, 2021).
2022: Returned to the region and opened new Glen Ellen wine bar in Jack London Village (October 2022).
Philosophy
"Passaggio" (Italian for "passageway") reflects the winemaking journey - new adventures with each vintage. Focuses on exploring traditional and hard-to-find grape varieties.
Wines
Specializes in Rhône and European varieties, focusing on non-traditional grape varieties - "not your parent's Cabernet."
15 different wines including both traditional and hard-to-find varieties.
