History

Cliff Jernigan is a tax lawyer and author. In 1996 he planted Cabernet Sauvignon grapes on his estate on Olive Hill Lane in Woodside and began making his own wine. His early vintages received positive feedback from family and friends, so in 2004 he decided to make the wine available commercially under the label Olive Hill Lane Press.

The three acre vineyard consists of just 360 vines and an adjoining wine arbor that occupy about one acre of the estate. As a result quantities are very limited and are available only via the winery's mailing list, in case or half case lots.
