Dan and Julie Scheve were amateur winemakers since 1997. Joined by Brian and Kristin Link to found small boutique winery. Name "Heart's Fire" reflected passion for making wine.

Leased space at Pinder Winery in Campbell, which also hosted Travieso and Stroth-Hall Cellars.

First commercial vintage 2006: two Zinfandels from Dry Creek Valley and Petite Sirah from Redwood Valley (Mendocino County).
