Overview
Small-production natural wine project founded by Katie Husher. Name inspired by childhood memories of building driftwood forts at Pajaro Dunes beach in Northern California. Focus on organic farming, native fermentations, low sulfur, minimal intervention winemaking.
Winemaker Background
Bay Area native. Originally trained in mathematics and worked in self-driving cars before transitioning to wine. Started as harvest intern at Thomas Fogarty Winery, now serves as Cellar Master there. Completed international harvest in Australia. Creates Driftwood Cottage wines while working at Thomas Fogarty.
