Clos la Chance Estate Vineyards
Clos LaChance is a family-owned and operated winery with estate vineyards located in the rolling hills of San Martin, California, just south of San Jose.
History
The winery was established in the early 1990s. Co-owners Bill and Brenda Murphy began their wine journey by planting a few rows of Chardonnay in their Saratoga backyard in 1987. The first released wines were from the 1992 vintage.
In 1996, Bill and Brenda established CK Vines, a vineyard maintenance and installation company specializing in "back-yard" vineyard development throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation.

The winery maintains 150 acres of estate vineyards that produce a diverse range of wines, including:

Sustainability
Clos LaChance Winery and Estate Vineyard is Certified Sustainable by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance and is one of the first certified sustainable wineries in California.
Recent Development
In September 2025, CordeValle, the luxury golf resort in San Martin, acquired Clos La Chance Winery and renamed it CordeValle Winery.
