In 2000 Gregory and Teri Peterson purchased a small property in San Martin. After studying viticulture at UC Davis they planted a 1.5 acre winery with Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, together with a few Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec vines for blending. The winery was bonded in 2005.

In addition to the estate fruit Creekview purchases grapes from the Dorcich and Wolfinbarger vineyards.
