Belle Farms

Belle Farms is a small, family-run farm located in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Watsonville that began in 1997 when Steve and Marguerite Remde decided to plant a vineyard on their property.

Vineyard

What started as a small family vineyard has grown to include seven acres of olives and six and a half acres of grapes. The farm grows several varietals that are well suited to the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains: Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and cool-climate Syrah.

Primary Focus

While Belle Farms maintains a vineyard, their primary focus is now on producing award-winning Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the Tuscan tradition with a distinct California flair. The olives are grown using sustainable farming practices.

Wine Grapes

The grapes from Belle Farms are sold to other winemakers in the region. Ghostwriter Wines has produced Santa Cruz Pinot Noir from Belle Farms grapes.

Location

Belle Farms is located in Watsonville, Santa Cruz County, in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. They sell their products at local farmers markets including the Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College and the Monterey Farmers Market.
