History
Founded in Santa Cruz in 2008 by Alex Krause and John Locke. Combined four decades of winemaking experience in California, France, Italy, and beyond.
Philosophy
Low intervention winemaking. Sources from carefully farmed, family-owned, own-rooted 19th and early 20th century vineyards (and some from late disco era) in moderate, marine-influenced climates. Native fermentations, stainless or neutral barrels, minimal racking and fining, avoiding filtration when possible.
Wines
Focused on perfume, poise, and balance. Sources from historic vineyards to highlight distinctive site qualities.
