History

Barry Jackson has been making sparkling wine under the Equinoxlabel since 1989. In 2005 he decided to branch out into table wines and launched his Bartolo label. Bartolo is his nickname; "My last name was already taken, and I couldn't use my initials" he jokes.

The Fruit for the label is sourced primarily from Mike Mann's vineyardin Gilroy. Although that vineyard lies within the Santa Clara Valley AVA the wines carry the Central Coast designation.
