Device reset - sblantipodi/firefly_luciferin GitHub Wiki
It may happen that your Glow Worm Luciferin device stops responding because your WiFi or MQTT password has changed and it can no longer connect to the network.
If this happens, you can reset your device and set a new password using one of the following methods:
1) Using USB and Web Installer
2) Provision directly from Firefly Luciferin
- Plug the ESP into your computer with a USB cable.
- Provision the firmware directly from Firefly Luciferin.
3) Using the ESP WiFi Access Point (no USB required)
If your ESP is far from your PC and you cannot connect a USB cable:
- Power off the ESP device.
- Luciferin will attempt to connect to the old network using the old password for 3 minutes.
- After 3 minutes, if the connection fails, the LEDs will turn red for 3 minutes.
- LEDs will stay on for 3 minutes, then turn off if no action is taken.
- Reboot the ESP three times. On each reboot, the LEDs will light up in a different color: Red, Green, Blue, Orange.
- When the LEDs turn orange, Luciferin will start a WiFi access point.
- Connect your PC or phone to the Luciferin WiFi network.
- Open a browser and navigate to: http://192.168.4.1
- You can now reset your Luciferin device with new settings.
