#To connect to a non-Windows cloud server (typically running a Linux/Unix variant), the primary method is using Secure Shell (SSH)

1. Before attempting to connect, ensure you have:

The server's public IP address or hostname.

A valid username (e.g., root, ubuntu, ec2-user, etc.).

Authentication credentials: either a password or an SSH key pair (key-based authentication is more secure and recommended).

Ensured that port 22 (the default SSH port) is open in the server's firewall/security group settings.

2.Connection Methods

For Windows (using an SSH client like PuTTY):

1.Download and open the PuTTY client.

2.In the Session category, enter the server's Public IP address in the Host Name (or IP address) field. The Port should be 22 (or your custom port) and the Connection type should be SSH.

3.(Optional but recommended for key authentication): In the left-hand menu, navigate to Connection > SSH > Auth > Credentials. Click Browse and select your private key file (often a .ppk file converted from a .pem file using PuTTYgen).

4.Click Open to start the connection. You will be prompted for your username and password/passphrase.
