A small warehouse has one cluster made up of just a few servers. A larger warehouse has one cluster, made up of more servers.

Though you can't see it, your stage is based on an AWS Storage area called an S3 bucket. If your Snowflake account was in an Azure Region, your stage would be in an Azure Blob. Likewise, a GCP-based Snowflake account would have staging areas in GCP buckets.
