Why does this project need to exist?

  1. Customers need to be able to see what is on the menu before they arrive to see if that is somewhere they would like to eat. They also need to be able to fine the address and the hours of operation easily. Also the representation of the site will give the customer and idea of the atmosphere.

What aspects of this project are good user experiences?

  1. The address, phone number, and social media sites are at the bottom of the page.
  2. There is icons that specify that the menu items are raw, spicy, or vegan.
  3. Navigation at the top of the page.
  4. Contact and hours on the right hand side.

What aspects of this project are bad user experiences?

  1. All the images make it slow to load.
  2. You have to wait for animation to complete to enter the site.
  3. You have to click "enter" to enter the site.
  4. The menu should be laid out by type of food, not by price. ie. apps, entrees, desserts.

Describe the user(s) of, and also how they are using -- this project?

  1. The user of this site is somebody who loves sushi and would like to see the kinds of sushi offered at this place. This customer would also like to see the non seafood options for her child who doesn't like sushi. The would like to come to this site, find the menu categorized by food type {ie. apps, entrees, desserts, kids.) This customer would also like to find the locations and phone numbers of this restaurant.

What solutions may exist to improve the overall User Experience (UX)? Reference

  1. One page layout with anchor links that direct you to the correct section.
  2. Fast loading time. Time is money.
  3. Better menu layout.
  4. The information should be available for the food right on the menu layout and shouldn't have to be toggled to view it.
