Creating VLANs on a switch

On the switch go to vlan databse and add the vlan number and name. These must be the same accurses all connected switches with computers for the network.

Configure interface as access port

On the switch configure the ports that will connect to pcs with access and the number of the network previously created. Access port select access in drop down and then select vlan number form right most drop down.

Configure Trunk Ports

For each router connected to the router a port usually Gigabit ports needs to be configured as trunk with all vlans passing through checked. Access the port and select trunk in the drop down.
