Upstream projects
- Many of the packages in the SageMath distribution are upstream packages for the SageMath library.
- The upstream projects have their own bug tracking pages. A selection: Cython, fflas-ffpack, GAP, GCC (instructions), Givaro, JMol, LinBox, Maxima, Numpy, PARI/GP (instructions), Python, Singular.
- Used for the infrastructure:
Upgrading and updating upstream packages
- See task ticket #33774
- The Fedora people have a useful tool to track upstream version changes: https://release-monitoring.org/
- repology: sagemath_develop has much broader coverage.
