Process 1: Add a User to a GitHub Organization

Log in to GitHub
- Go to https://github.com/ and sign in with your GitHub account.

Go to the Organization Settings
- Click on your profile picture in the top right → choose Saayam for All Organization.
- From the organization home page, click “People” from the top menu.

Invite a New Member
- Click the “Invite member” button (top right).
- Enter the person’s GitHub username or email address.
- Click Next.

Set Role and Invite
- Choose “Member” as the role (default).
- You can optionally add them to teams here or skip and do it later.
- Click Send Invitation.

User Action
- The invited person will receive an email or in-app notification to accept the invite.
Process 2: Assign the User to a GitHub Team (Group)

Go to the Organization
- Navigate back to your Organization page.

Open the “Teams” Section
- From the organization sidebar, click “Teams”.

Select the Team
- Find and click on the relevant team (e.g.,
webapp
).

Add a Member to the Team
- Click “Add a member”.
- Enter the GitHub username of the person you want to add.
- Click “Add”.
