You're in your newly created Scenario, or you're in someone else's Session, but you have no idea how to place anything on the map? {.is-info}

An Entity is any object that at some point can be seen (NPCs, buildings, ...). Each Entity can have its own settings.

Some of them can walk or run, and for them you can build Regions or Routes to follow. A Region is a bordered area, where the NPC just walk around aimlessly, a Route is a path that you set up for them to follow.

If you want movable Entities to follow a leader, and want to let them act "social", as most people call it, you can Group them.

Entities

To place an Entity, you just select one from the Palette. This window is opened by default. After you have selected one in the Palette, you move somewhere in the landscape where you want to place the object, and you click on your left mouse button.

Walkpaths

If you want to let an NPC do something else than just standing around, you can give them an initial walkpath by right-clicking on the Entity and choosing for example Create Follow Route or any other walking action you want him to do. Then you will be able to create a Route or a Region. For a Route, you have to place flags that the NPC will go to, you need to place at least three, and right-click to end. If you are making a Region, you place at least 3 milestones and click on the first one to close the Region.

Grouping

To Group Entities, you click an Entity, press the Grouping icon in the icon-list in the bottom-left of the screen, and then choose his leader. In the Scenario window, which can be opened trough the Main Menu, you can see the Group, and change the Group Leader if needed.

Notes

  • To test your Scenario, go the Main Menu and press the Test button.
  • Always warn the other Editors before you go to Test Mode.
  • Information on more advanced walkpaths can be found in the Sequences guide.
