In this page, we will see how compile Bibliography in TexMaker.

There are 2 ways you can do this.

  1. Setting appropriate Quick Build option

    • Goto: Options -> Configure TexMaker and under Quick Build category, provide the settings as shown below

    • Now you can click on the Quick Build run bottun directly Quick_build_btn

  2. Swapping between different run options

    • Run PDFLatex either - by selecting the PDFLatex option under run menu (or) - by selecting Quick Build (which is set to PDFLaTex + View PDF under Configure TexMaker) the option under run menu.

    PDFLatex_btn (or) Quick_build_btn with appropriate settings under Configure TexMaker.

    • Run BibTex by selecting the BibTex option under run menu

  • Re-run PDFLatex again.

Difference between them.

If you follow (1), the compiling time will be more, every time you want to compile for any update you do to your document. So prefer not to use this option. Better use it at the begining (or) if you have added some references and feeling tired of swapping between menus to get your Bibliography page.
