In this lab, I continued using wireless routers and WPA2 in packet tracer to simulate DHCP and a mixed network.
Deliverable 1. Laptop0 and Laptop1 open the command prompt and validate that both are receiving a DHCP address from the router and ICMP is successful to the router. Provide a screenshot of “ipconfig and ping”. 1 Point
Deliverable 2. Provide a screenshot of your successful wireless connection and active adapter. 1 Point
Deliverable 3. Ping PC1 from Laptop0 or Laptop1. Provide a screenshot of the successful communication.1 Point
Deliverable 4. Update the IP Address of the Wireless Router (from the GUI) to 10.0.0.1. Try to ping the router from the laptops. What impact on the wireless connection does that have? What needed to be done to correct the issue?.2 Points
The laptops and router are no longer on the same network and so pinging no longer works. In order to make this ping work, the laptops must be configured to be on the same network as the router.
