Does this work for long-read-only assembly?

Can you follow this tutorial if you don't have short reads? Absolutely! You can just skip the short-read polishing steps (which are at the end of the process). However, you should not assume that your resulting assembly is perfect – there are probably some small errors resulting from systematic errors in the long reads.

What about PacBio reads?

This tutorial was written with ONT+Illumina reads in mind. If you instead have PacBio+Illumina reads, most of the tutorial still applies! You can just drop the Medaka polishing step, as that is ONT-specific.
