🔧 Installation Instructions

There are two main ways to install the AI Image OCR plugin:

📦 Community Plugins (Coming Soon)

Once the plugin is published in the community plugin browser, it will appear here.

Install via BRAT

If you have the BRAT plugin installed, you can install this plugin using the BRAT plugin manager:

  1. Click Add beta plugin.
  2. Enter https://github.com/rootiest/obsidian-ai-image-ocr in the Repository URL field.
  3. (Optionally) Check the Enable after installing the plugin checkbox to enable the plugin immediately after installation.
  4. Click Add plugin

Manual Installation (Beta Releases)

  1. Download the latest release .zip from the Releases page.
  2. Extract it to your Obsidian vault’s .obsidian/plugins/ai-image-ocr/ folder.
  3. Enable the plugin in Obsidian’s settings under Community Plugins → Installed Plugins.

Make sure you have Safe Mode disabled in Community Plugins settings.
