The story so far

It started on Jun 2016 when customers started giving feedback about their Anti-Virus (AV) software flagging our Apps to be/containing malware. As a consequence of that, we decide to investigate / lookout for AV solutions that are safe for internal usage.

What are the ONLY Antivirus solutions that I should install on my mobile device

Update: 24 Mar 2023

AV-test will have a 3rd-party evaluation of AntiVirus solutions once in a while. Do check them to see if my list here still performs 100% for all categories. Its results will be available here:

  • Norton Security and Antivirus
  • McAfee
  • AhnLab

Norton and McAfee are the quintessential Paid Antivirus solutions. Nobody will argue with you for and against them. Everyone has their personal opinions, but everyone still pay for them.

AhnLab gave an option to disable "Cloud Scan", something that most companies don't give.

Remember, try not to pick antivirus solutions that upload your data to the cloud.

List of AV that cannot be used
