There is one major release per WFTDA season and its version number will be the year that is fully covered by the season. I.e. the current release is v2027, the next one will be v2029 and so on. The release date is aligned with other per-season releases of rules and/or procedures.

Within a major release, changes of the software are limited to bugfixes or minor features that have limited effect on the UI and an insignificant risk of introducing bugs.

• Other changes, especially ones that could affect the in-game workflow of officials will only be made if there is an overwhelming user consensus that the change is beneficial.

Minor/Bugfix releases (v2027.1, v2027.2, etc.) will be released as they are ready.
