A calculation can be calculated simultaneously in a maximum of 4 lot sizes. The default lot size is the calculation lot size as per the item master. If the calculation is called up from a quotation or an order, the quantity stored there is the lot size.
The calculation lot size affects:
- setup times
- fix times (Quantity per = 0)
- fix surcharges
Always the lot size is used, which was stored in calculation and which was selected If the sub-assembly has a lot size, too, this will be considered under following conditions:
hmtoggle_plus1 Sub-assembly with own lot size If the sub-assembly has an own calculation lot size, this has a higher priority if
- it is a storage related assembly
- is is an order related assembly for which the lot size shall be considered at work order creation. See Configuration wizard
Example: how do lot sizes affect sub-assemblies
Calculation lot size 100 Display per piece
Assembly A Unit price Total 100 pieces
Routing position €2/min, 10 minutes setup time, 10 minutes mach+labor time/unit
Cost of Setup: €2 * 10 minutes / 100 = €0.20
Cost per piece: €2 * 10 minutes per piece = €20
Total Price: 20,20 € 202,00 €
Sub-assembly B has lot size 60 Routing position €2/min, 10 minutes setup time, 10 minutes mach+labor time/unit Cost of Setup: €2 * 10 minutes / 60 = €0.33 Cost per piece: €2 * 10 minutes per piece = €20 Total Price 20,33 € 203,33 €
Switching between lot sizes In the precalculation, you can switch between the lot sizes configured in the header by clicking on the "Lot Size" button. This relates primarily to the calculation and does not relate to the display. calclosgr
Display lot size The lot size that should be displayed can be configured by right-clicking on the header - "DISPLAY" Configurable: Per piece Display is PER PIECE, independently of the configured calculation lot size. Per lot size Display is per configured calculation lot size. Good for displaying the total price Per quantity x The unit (per 1, per 100, per 1000) that should be used for display can be freely configured here. Example: Calculation lot size 500, but the price per 1000 pieces should be shown.
