Navigation: Production > Resources > Edit resource: Scheduling tab No contents entries on this page Contents The utilization or availability of a resource can be set per day. Since a resource can also constitute a personnel group, this function can also be considered as the vacation schedule of a personnel group.

Field Meaning View in APS If active, the work sequence which uses this resource is displayed in the APS. If this is deactivated, this is hidden. Hiding this is useful for parallel resource entries. Consider resource limits It is determined here whether the resource has capacity limits or whether this must be considered during the calculation. This must generally be deactivated for external resources, except if the capacity is to be capable of being planned. The resource limit is determined from planned capacity / day x number of machines/persons, the daily plan, and the factory calendar. Automatic optimization This resource will be considered in automatic optimization Planned Capacity in hrs. / day hmtoggle_plus1 Net capacity per resource without cleaning, maintenance and other downtimes that can be planned.

The calculated Start is at 12 o´clock - (planned capacity in hours : 2) The calculated End is 12 o´clock + (planned capacity in hours : 2) Backward scheduling considers only the end date Forward scheduling considers only the start date

Total net capacity is (planned capacity in hours/day) * (number mash.|persons) * ( %-value as per factory calendar)

Planned capacity can be influenced by

  • Priorities
  • Shift schedule of the resource
  • shift schedule of the resource group
  • Shift calendar

hmtoggle_plus1 Special case external operation

See Factory calendar Resource shift plan Priorities Expand and compress Configuration wizard - Production - Capacity planning - End date Capacity planning

Number of mach|persons hmtoggle_plus1 Number or single resources for this resource Use this option, to define a kind of resource group without a detailed planning of the elements. A resource can represent a group of machines (eg. 5 milling machines) or a group of workers (eg. 5 technicians). To do so, enter a number greater than 1. Example: 5 employees are working on one machine, they are not planned separately -> enter 5 The resource represents a person, who can work in parallel on 5 turning machines -> enter 0,2

The field "planned capacity" and "Number of mach|persons" are multiplied, resulting in the total capacity of the resource. ( s. resource scheduling calendar) In capacity planning, only one machine from the group is dispatched to minimize set-up times. If you want to prevent this, enter the group with only one machine but with the corresponding multiplied planned capacity.

Resource shift plan Select a resource shift. If a resource does not have assigned a shift plan, the system checks if this resource is associated to a group of resources and reads the shift plan from the resource group.

Resource calendar Right to the resource calender exceptions for certain periods can be entered. These are displayed in a table. Field Meaning Date from/to Period, in which the exception applies Check calendar Hooklet active: the factory calendar is not taken into account at capacity calculation

If the factory calendar is NOT taken into account, the following formula applies: Total net capacity is (planned capacity in hours/day) * (number mash.|persons) *

If the factory calendar is taken into account, the following formula applies: Total net capacity is (planned capacity in hours/day) * (number mash.|persons) * ( %-value as per factory calendar) Shift Start/End Shift start/end If set, the shift stored in shift schedule for resources is overwritten. Further information See Shift schedule for resources

Leaving the field empty, the default shift applies. Planned capacity Overwrites the planned capacity for this shift in the given period Number of persons Overwrites the number of single resources ( see above) in the given period Reason Reason for exception
