Via Terminal screen features are available, which have been optimized for use in manufacturing. All features are managed as "apps" the Terminal application can be configured freely. beas supports various terminal variants:

License concept It is not the program user who logs on, but the employees on the shop floor. In contrast to a program user, an employee does not need a license for SAP Business One or beas. The modules are licenses for parallel use. Additionally, per station or server one SAP-DI-API-License is required. See Installation Terminal/Servermodus: A SAP-DI-API-logon is performed for the user who is entered in Configuration wizard - System - DI-API (see Configuration wizard).

This SAP Business One-user requires special rights. See Required SAP Business One Rights, Rights management

SAP Business One - window "Terminal": the program works with that user in the background, who logged on in SAP Business One.

Because all employees logon on with the same SAP Business One - ID, it is not easy to determine ex post, who did which transaction. That why the UDF "U_beas_pers_id" was added to the document tables. There, the personnel number (beas_pers.pers_id) is entered.

Terminal variants Client-Server based

  • Within SAP Business One-environment
  • As separate application (beas in terminal mode) on PC-terminals (eg. touch screen terminals) see Client-Server-based

The terminal can be started within the SAP Business One-environment as well as standalone. see call-up parameters No user account needed. Logon using personnel card number. Each employee can be assigned to an authorization group, in which the functions available for him are defined. Authorizations groups are stored personnel master data The solution uses the application "Terminal" and displays apps, which have been released for the respective employee.

Apps can be distributed simply via copy&paste.
