Navigation: Production > Factory Data Capture: Production backflushing No contents entries on this page Contents Backflushing is used to automatically remove material that is allocated to a work order and is marked as "backflush". The work order is selected for this (alternatively, the routing slip barcode can be scanned). Then you specify the total quantity to be reported and the yield to be received. After inputting the number of units, the corresponding quantity of materials is issued and the finished good entered. The material is issued from the inventory location stored in the BOM and the primary item inventory, respectively. If an inventory location is specified for "Issue from storage location", the material is posted from this inventory location.
Default setting for issue warehouse: the issue warehouse or inventory location, is defined in work order. It can be changed at backflushing. NOTE If accounts are stored in the warehouse, this can lead to problems with account determination. Assignment of batches and serial numbers is performed following the stored rules.
Only material is issued, for which the issuing method was set to „backflushing“. Material assigned to external operations, is not issued. To book order times automatically: Configuration wizard – Production – Production backflushing posting – Book times automatically
help-achtungNote: Backflushing can only be selected if 'automatic' was configured for "Backflushing" in Configuration wizard - Production - Material posting - material issue automatically at See "Material issue automatically at"
Support of negative BOM items: if this is needed, Configuration wizard at "issue quantity changeable" select Yes: in case of backflushing instead of the standard screen another window opens with restricted functions.
Standard work flow: In Configuration wizard at "issue quantity changeable" select YES, NO. The standard screen for material issue and reservation opens. Goods to be charged off are automatically pre-selected. Click on „End“ to cancel the operation, „issue and continue“ to proceed, (material is posted) As in „Material issue“, first select the entries to be posted, then a green barrel is displayed in the upper list. Automatic pre-allocation is also possible. Then click on "issue and continue"
More options (with / without bin location, quantity changeable etc.) are available in configuration wizard
hmtoggle_plus1 Automatic Pre-allocation For items, set to "backflushing", quantities to be posted are automatically pre-allocated. Other entries are not pre-allocated.
Batches and serial numbers are only pre-allocated automatically, if in Configuration wizard - Production – Material posting and reservation – Backflushing – „Post batches also“ or „Post serial numbers“ has been enabled. Click on „pre-allocate“ to pre-allocate batches or serial numbers manually. If batches or serial numbers has been reserved, independent of settings, these are always pre-allocated automatically.
Order of withdrawal is defined as:
Reserved goods Allocation warehouse Standard warehouse (as per BOM item or standard warehouse of item) Within this order the withdrawal rules from Configuration wizard - Production – Material posting and reservation – „Automatic batch issue by ..." apply.
All other warehouses are not considered, but you can withdraw manually from these warehouses.
hmtoggle_plus1 Scanner support If the window is opened, the cursor is located in the lower field (button bar). If now, a batch is scanned (or entered manually), the corresponding item number is automatically determined and the batch - quantity receives the focus.
