As long no detailed scheduling on a resource level is required, the planning view is the perfect tool for production scheduling on work order level. You can create new scheduling or select from existing ones. 3 pre-defined schedulings are delivered.

Field Meaning Default Flagged: this scheduling is used as standard Planning area Name for planning area Description Description of planning Resource group Order related planning for a resource group (assembly line xy) Employee Planning with reference to employee. In the resource the employee is deposited. Only work orders are displayed, which require resources being managed by the appropriate employee. Project Project related planning for project X
Double click on a planning opens the planning view ( same function fulfills the button "view")
With buttons "New" and "Edit" you can create new schedulings or edit existing ones. see APS - edit planning
Right click menu - Standard: default settings are applied on the selected planning
