Navigation: Production: Allocation No contents entries on this page Contents Work orders create a demand for material which must be provided.
Using a material preparation list, the material for the work orders to be produced should be supplied to a separate inventory - the so-called supply inventory. Allocation warehouses must be defined in Administration - Definition - Warehouse Management - Warehouse - Extended as "Allocation warehouse".
The production employees, in turn, only have access to this supply inventory and, accordingly, can only begin the orders for which the material has been supplied.
The list "Allocations" is available for this purpose. All material positions still to be supplied are shown in this list. The allocation list only considers the positions up to the specified start date.
help-hinweis The start date can have different meanings: • If the material position is allocated to a position and a start date has been entered there, this start date is used, • otherwise, the start date of the assembly is used. • If no start date is available, e.g. with disabled capacity planning, the delivery date is used as reference.
There are two types of presentation
Compact: The total demand per item is shown Broken down: Each material position is shown separately.
With the function "allocate", a material can be reallocated from any inventory to the supply inventory.
Backflushing If the material should then be backflushed from the allocation warehouse, the corresponding allocation warehouse must be entered in the Configuration Wizard under Production - Material Posting - Backflush - "Posting allocation warehouse".
