There are four types of items:
β’ Stock item β’ Purchase item β’ Sale item β’ Fixed assets
At new creation, these properties can assigned, multiple selection is also possible.
Stock items: This property is necessary for inventory management, it allows stock transactions. Serial number or batch related items must be defined as a stock items. If an item is defined exclusively as a stock item, it cannot be sold or bought.
Sale items: A sale item is sold to a customer. To create a sales order, an item must be defined as a sale item. Items which are exclusively sold, including services, cannot be bought or held in stock.
Purchase item: Purchasing items are purchased from a supplier. To create an order, an item must be defined as purchasing item.
Fixed Assets: These are items, which only can be bought. These items are not supported and not displayed by beas as they are only required for fixed assets management.
