Navigation: Inventory > Routing > Edit routing > Routing positions > Edit routing positions: Parallel No contents entries on this page Contents A parallel resource can be a second person, a machine required in parallel, etc. Parallel resources require time (capacity planning) and costs (precalculation). Time receipt can be reported separately for a parallel resource. But there will be no backflushing and no posting. Any number of parallel resources can be specified.

Field Meaning Position Consecutive number, but not a primary key. The list output is sorted by this number. Active parallel resource active? If enabled, only one position can be active Alternative alternative parallel resource Resource Resource ID (selection from master data / resources) Description Designation of the resource (cannot be changed) Info Any information
Throughput Time area This information relates only to Business performance, not to the throughput time of the work sequence itself, as this is ALWAYS parallel to the main work sequence and always has the same start and end time. Field Meaning Setup time Time for the setup process. Time specified per "Time per" Edit The processing time for a unit of quantity per "Time per" in consumption unit per "Quantity per" finished parts. Info: Secondary processing times cannot be specified here. Specification for Business performance only, not for calculating the throughput time! See Setup time - Note Use factor Specification of the use factor - refers to the field "Edit" See Calculation of target time Work steps Specification of work steps factor - refers to the field "Edit" See Calculation of target time Quantity per .. finished part Times used per finished part Time by Defines whether times are specified in hours or minutes Time reservation (%) If no setup and edit time was entered, the time of the main operation * time reservation is used as reference. At which % shall the resource be scheduled? Example: The parallel resource is an employee operating four machines at once. He need to be available for the machine at the whole time but only at 25%.
If the setup time or processing time is entered, in pre-calculation this input will be ignored. See note above at Setup time. Cost element Accumulated costs are written to this cost element. Capacity scheduling Enable, to consider this resource in capacity scheduling View in APS Enable, to make the resource visible in APS Marg costs / min Marg costs / min Full costs / min Full costs / min Surcharge marginal costs Surcharge marginal costs Surcharge full costs Surcharge full costs
Technical information: parallel resources share a database table with tools, utilities, and alternative operations Structure of barcode on routing card: 6-digit beas_ftapl.number + 3-digit beas_ftapl_wkz.pos_id)
