Operation catalog - Routing - Production routing - Calculation Edit routing External operation General Extended Tools Utilities Parallel Alternative Documents Special functions Field Meaning Scrap of Material % hmtoggle_plus1 Material scrap % If a value is entered here, the material requirement is increased for the BOM items starting from this one.

hmtoggle_plus1 Calculation and Example

Per operation - calculated from last operation, a factor is determined Factor = Factor / ( 1 - Material scrap% / 100)

Total scrap:

Assembly quantity in consumption units * Material requirement * ( Factor - 1 )

Example: Assembly 10 pcs Material requirement 5 pcs Routing 10% scrap

Calculation Factor = 1 / ( 1 - 10 / 100) = 1,111 Total requirement of material = 10 * 5 * (1.111 -1) = 50 + 5.555 scrap = 55.555 Total requirement

Example: Assembly 1 pc Material 2 pcs, linked to first operation 3 operations, each with 50% scrap Factor = 1 / ( 1 - 50 / 100) = 2 Factor = 2 / ( 1 - 50 / 100) = 4 Factor = 4 / ( 1 - 50 / 100) = 8 Total requirement of material = 1 * 2 * (8 -1) = 2 + 14 scrap = 16 Total requirement

The value is entered into the production BOM item, column "calculated scrap" as fix value. This field is only visible, if in Configuration wizard - Master data - routing - operation related material scrap" is enabled.

Notes:

• Enable this option only, if absolutely necessary, the computation will take much longer.

• In work order this field is blocked, because scrap of material is determined only at the moment creating the work order

• Checking, which routing positions are considered, the following criteria apply:

  • Validity date
  • Active (no formula, no quantity check)
  • Varianten (A-Z) Not checked:
  • Varianten formulas, Product configurations

See: Offcut, calculated scrap Invisible in pre-calculation The position is inserted in the calculation but not evalued and also not displayed, i.e. these are available here but completely invisible. If a work order is created from this, this work sequence is also inserted there. Block difference to position: blocked positions are not transferred to the work order. Only value in pre-calculation If this option is active, the position is only valued in the pre-calculation, but is not transferred to the work order and is also ignored in the scheduling function in the material requirements list. Block login If active, the affected resource is not reserved and a logon/logoff or time-related message of any type is blocked (the “Clock mandatory” option must be deactivated) Time receipt in Units hmtoggle_plus1 Time receipt units of measurement Determines in which UoM quantities will reported for this operation sequence

Example: Assembly (fluid in the container) is managed by pieces, in this work step the produced liquid is reported in liters. Then, liters can be specified as unit for time receipt and indicated in "factor per assembly (unit)".

This is considered in Production Time Receipt External production - Collective Purchase Order

Goods Receipt in Unit Determines the unit of measure in which the routing position is reported via the terminal. Factor per Assembly hmtoggle_plus1 Unit conversion factor Determines the conversion factor between time receipt unit and the assembly unit

Example: Assembly is managed by pieces, at "time receipt in unit" liters are specified. Here you can specify, how many liters corresponds to one manufactured assembly. Block completion with quantities below minimum hmtoggle_plus1 If active, the planned quantity needs to be posted

If this option is enabled, the operation can only be completed with a time receipt, if:

  • the full planned quantity was reached
  • the reported quantity of the previous operation (mandatory to report) was reached, the quantity is larger than 0 and the previous operation is closed. beas9.0-000-003-008

Note: Independently, the operation can be closed at any time. Invisible in post-calculation If active, the position is hidden in the post-calculation – for target and actual cost calculation. Resource optimization If enabled: If the stored resource is part of a resource group, at scheduling, automatically the resource is selected from the group with the shorted lead time. Slave operation belongs to master A master operation can be selected. See: Configuration wizard - Master-Slave Image Image for this operation, for better recognizability See Image selection Color With this color the operation is displayed in all screens.
