Printing via WEB apps: printing is processed by the WEB server on which the beas service was started.

Note: If beas starts in service mode, the configured printer needs to be available in user context of the service. Maybe a dedicated user is required for the service. Generally, only network printers can be activated in service mode. Local printers are not supported in Windows service mode. The setup is made always on the server.

Concept:

β€’ Define a document or print form in the app β€’ Assign the client to a station setting β€’ The station is assigned to a location β€’ In the location a printer is defined

Setup

  • Activate station management
  • Program group - Administration
  • Select Application "Terminal"
  • Button "Settings"
  • Application - "Terminal" in Apps-administration: Button "Basic settings"
  • Station name: Selection or manually Location: Mandatory or optionally
  • Store reports in Apps

Apps support RTF documents and Crystal documents Due to performance reasons we recommend RTF documents

  • Program group - Administration
  • Select Application "Terminal"
  • Button "Settings"
  • Select App - Double click or Button "settings"
  • Print switch from "automatic" to "RTF"
  • Change to "RTF" tab
  • Press Button "Standard" Now a standard report will be generated including all available place holders The documents can now be edited OR under "Setting" switch to "Crystal", tab "Crystal" select the document. All variables displayed as place holders in RTF-tab are now available as Crystal paramters.

Note: Not all apps have a print function. If under "RTF" nothing is displayed, the app needs to extended for printing.

  • Location management / setup printer
  • Station settings wizard
  • Create new station, connection type "WEB"
  • Standard Application "Terminal"
  • Set a Station pass word
  • Location: click on the icon far right to open location administration
  • New location: enter designation, select printer, save
  • Station settings: select station
  • Logon
  • Restart WEBAPP-service
  • Logon client. Depending on the option, the station ID, password and location is queried Print function is now available
