beas is supplied with an SMTP client that can establish a direct link with an email server. The email account can be stored user-specifically (not station-specifically) in SAP for this purpose.

To set up direct access to the SMTP server:

Administration 2. Definition 3. General 4. User

If the user has already been created, click the "Email" button to go directly to the settings.

help-hinweisIf the user has been created as new, the input must be stored in advance.

Input field Description Email Email address of the user SMTP server SMTP server of the email address SMTP port SMTP port (by default: 25) SSL Activates SSL encryption User User name of the email mailbox (normally the email address) Password Password of the email account

Default email address If no e-mail address is found in the user profile, a general e-mail address can be stored in the setup wizard instead: see: Administration – Print and report setup – Email
