Upper tabs
Master data: Field Meaning Task Name of the task Description Description of the task Type Type of task - select from: Mile stone, Normal, Main task (main tasks can have sub-tasks) Status Different statuses of the task can be selected from the drop down field Entry checked If not active, the task will be marked as "not checked" Responsible Employee in charge from master data Blocked If active, no documents can be created for this task
Budget: For each task a budget can be defined containing times and costs Field Meaning Project cost type ID of project cost type to define, which documents or order time receipts are to be booked to the budget (See Project cost types) Designation Designation of project cost type Costs Planned costs Days Planed days
Lower tabs Planning Field Meaning Work days Work days, planned for the respective task Budget Define a budget available for the task MS-Project Project module of beas can be linked to MS-Project via an interface. To use it efficiently, advanced knowledge of MS-Project is required. Fields relation to predecessor, interval, restriction type and type of scheduling are parameters for task scheduling in MS-Project.
Mile stone Field Meaning Mile stone Assign a mile stone to the task or define a new one using the selection icon next to the drop down field. Recipient 1,2 Recipient 1 of the event defined in mile stone Text Text, displayed to recipient
Extended In this tab you define, which documents can be created for which business objects. Field Meaning Sales Enable the flag, the following documents can be created from the task: Quotation, Sales order, Delivery, A/R down payment invoice, invoice, A/R credit memo Purchase Enable the flag, the following documents can be created from the task: Purchase order, goods receipt, A/P invoice Work order Enable the flag, the following documents can be created from the task: work order Order times Enable the flag, to register or edit order times from the task. Note: Order times are meant to be project times, not linked to a normal work order. This could be installation time, meetings, project administration. If the flag order times has been activated, the fields cost element, resource and operation type are important to be filled, because the order times are booked using the project work order. Material This flag has no function so far. Configurator Enable this flag to allow the creation of a configuration from the task (only if the product configurator is used). Activity Enable this flag to allow the creation of an activity. Cost element Cost element assigned for this task. Resource Assigned resource for this task. Operation type Assigned operation type for this task. Bitmap Select a bitmap for the task to be displayed in lists. Color Select a color for the task to be displayed in lists.
Notes tab In the editor screen you can store task-specific texts.
