When creating a new item, beas can generate the item number automatically, use any item as template and also predefine the designation as well as any additional fields. Item generation becomes active during new item creation and copying of items.
Item generator:
Define the generation of items to activate this function. Then, creating new items or copying additional fields are available (only if this is done in beas) To set up, knowledge of beas-script is required. Item generation works in 2 levels: "group" and "selection" . For group selection, more than one group need to be defined. Before and after items are created, scripts can be executed.
Important: direct access to all fields. For SAP Business One fields the content is not checked. Entering an illegal value, can result in the item not to be useable.
In the list all set up item generation methods are displayed. Entries can be edited, copied and deleted.
