Question:
German special characters (umlauts) are not displayed correctly, leading to incorrect translation.
Answer:
The system must have the European codepage 1250 installed.
Solution:
- Start
- Settings
- Control Panel
- Regional and language options
- Select the "Extended" tab
- Check whether the language set with the number "1250" is selected there. If not, please activate it.
Question:
I want to set beas to n a different language (e.g., Chinese, Russian, etc.) but the characters are not displayed correctly.
Reply:
Make sure that the corresponding codepage is enabled in the regional settings under Windows.
- Start
- Settings
- Control Panel
- Regional and language options
- Select the "Extended" tab
- Check whether the language set with the number "1250" is selected there. If not, please activate it.
Question:
I start beas without SAP Business One and switch the display language. After a restart, beas does not remember the language set.
Reply:
If beas is started without SAP Business One, the language set for Windows is used. If the system is switched to a different language, beas does not record this setting. As a rule, Windows should ALWAYS be set to the same language as beas - even in the SAP Business One environment. A mix of settings can lead to issues, in particular for date and number inputs.
