Navigation: Administration > Setup > Production: Priorities No contents entries on this page Contents The sequence of processing as well as the throughput time of the work orders is controlled via priorities.
Priorities affect capacity planning incl. throughput time calculation as well as pool control.
In Item and in Work Order a priority can be stored. The higher the number, the higher the priority. If a priority is stored in the order, it has precedence. In case of multilevel calculation, the priority is passed on to the demand items.
Field Description Field Description Priority Unique identification of the material group Information Arbitrary text describing the priority Max. utilization in % Percentage to which a resource may be utilized on a work day. The greater the value the greater the throughput time. If the resource has 8 hours with 1 machine, a utilization of 120% means that the machine can be scheduled for max. 9.6 hours for this order per day. See Expand and compress Transit time in % Transit time between resources. The corresponding default is used if set to 100%. The transit time can be reduced by minimizing the % amount and it can be maximized, respectively. The following applies: The smaller the percentage value, the faster the throughput. At a defined transit time of 6 hours and 50% transit time, a time of 3 hours is calculated. Pool Factor In priority definition in pool control, the orders are aged by this factor. Basic rule: The higher the pool factor, the higher the priority.
The sort order can be controlled using the pool factor Simply enter a very high number here for instant orders.
See Introduction Pooling Function Pooling, Scheduling Priorities At Once If this option has been activated, the order always has first priority, regardless of whether it can be produced. Default at creation This switch can only be activated for a priority. The priority selected accordingly is inserted as a specification when creating new work orders.
