Components

1. RC Car

Any 4-function RC car should work. In the examples, I used this Nikko car.

2. Arduino compatible Wi-Fi board

RedBack Having a compact all-in-one board is great for a project like this. The one I use is based on the now defunct AsyncLabs Yellowjacket. The standard Arduino Uno with a Wi-Fi shield are pretty bulky and have way more pins and features than we need.

2. Soldering Iron & Solder

Basic soldering skills are needed for this project. I highly recommend a temperature controlled soldering iron with a ceramic heating element. It takes less time to heat up and much less likely to overheat your components.
