Maintence is requried for many of the parts added by Cyberization.

Expected Maintenance Intervals

  • Primitive Prostheses - Never
  • Simple Prostheses - Biannual (~30 days)
  • Robotic Prostheses - Quadrum (~15 days)
  • Bionics - Biannual (~30 days)
  • Glitterworld Bionics - Annual (~60 days)
  • Archotech Bionics - Never

Maintenance as a Job

Maintence is performed by colonists assigned to the duty. It is similar to a colonist who is repairing a structure. It has no material cost and takes a few seconds.

Breakdowns

Breakdowns have two sources: lack of maintenance or random story events. A part will breakdown if it reaches 0% maintenance. A storyteller also has prosthetic breakdown as a random event.

Repairing a breakdown takes a component (for simple or robotic prosthetics) or an advanced component (for bionics and glitterworld bionics). A repair is maintenance with a component cost and will restore a part to 100% condition when complete.
